Introducing: Adler Med

Tuscany’s Famed Adler Thermae Spa Adds A New Dimension To 5-star Pampering With Innovative Preventive Medical Care

New website highlights how ADLER Med’s specialist doctors are augmenting traditional spa thermotherapy and stress management with the latest concepts in bioelectrical impedance, iomet tests and other state-of-the-art diagnostic innovations

(Bagno Vignoni, November 2, 2017)  One of Italy’s top spa resorts has just added an extra dimension to its 5-star well-being services: an upgraded medical program with a six-doctor team specializing in the latest techniques in preventive medicine.

Known as ADLER Med, this innovative program is part of the 5-star, 90-room ADLER Thermae Spa in Tuscany. Family-owned and -operated since its founding in 2004, ADLER Thermae now moves beyond typical spa treatments like detox, thermotherapy, weight loss and stress management to 21st-century concepts like bioletrical impedance analysis, iomet tests for active cell nutrition and other advanced diagnostic techniques.

New Website, English-Speaking Doctors, Innovative Packages

ADLER’s hand-picked team of doctors, English-speaking graduates of Italian universities, augment traditional spa treatments with modern techniques in functional orthopedic traumatology, neural therapy, posture therapy and pain-relieving laser therapies.   On-site labs enable doctors and technicians to perform tests in the morning and discuss the results with patients the same afternoon, allowing guests to choose from a range of efficient one-day and multi-day medical packages.  More intensive programs can be adapted to fit each guest’s specific health needs.

The full range of this ADLER Med program is spotlighted in detail on a new website, www.adler-med.it/en.  It includes the names and credentials of the medical staff with brief descriptions of their specialties, which include bioelectrical impedance analysis, aromatogram testing and orthopedic traumatology.  The 30-plus programs range from one day to one week -- but they are merely a starting point since the staff will formulate custom packages to fit the specific needs of individual guests.

Since the first ADLER resort threw open its doors in 1810, the goal of ADLER has been to offer guests balanced, comprehensive programs that blend daily exercise and healthy nutrition, relaxation with regeneration -- the four cornerstones of sound health and wellness.  The overall philosophy at ADLER is no longer just results today but a comprehensive, practical plan for tomorrow --- a long-term masterplan for each individual guest.  The emphasis throughout is on service and personal attention, with professional care-giving and innovative medical attention on hand at all times to enhance the classic spa experience.

Other Recent News from ADLER Thermae

To achieve this enhanced level of service and make the ADLER experience still more appealing, the owners recently introduced several new attractions that enhance the overall experience of a spa vacation.

  • Two new saunas bring the resort’s total to six, which means guests now have a choice of six temperature settings, six aromas and, in some cases, classic Tuscan vistas of vineyards and rolling hillsides.
  • The first vintages from ADLER Thermae’s new on-site vineyard are now stacked and cosseted in travertine wine cellars, ready to serve at candlelight dinners and wine tastings. (Tip: The sturdy reds have turned out to be perfect companions to accompany tender cuts of meat from Tuscany’s famed Chianina breed of cattle.  Chianina in moderation is fine, says ADLER’s top nutritionist.)

And Then There’s Beautiful, Storied Tuscany

Adler Med

Now the advanced ADLER Med invites Americans “going to the doctor’s office” to visit one of the loveliest corners of the Val D’Orcia, a protected landscape that adds its own special boost to the well-being of longtime ADLER guests -– with some of the world’s most revered works of art and architecture just a short drive away in the legendary cities of Florence and Siena.

Set between the wine areas of Montepulciano and Montalcino, Tuscany's ADLER Thermae Resort and Spa is a pioneering five-star hotel famous for its thermal baths. It’s set in the Val D'Orcia, known for its rolling hills punctuated by Cypress trees and medieval towns. The valley has been named a UNESCO World Heritage site, and has been used as backdrop for films such as The English Patient, Stealing Beauty and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. There are 90 luxury rooms and suites, each with a balcony or terrace overlooking the valley. The spa menu offers more than 120 treatments that blend the highest quality natural products with state-of-the-art equipment. The spa provides not only relaxation and beauty services, but also modern western medicine and alternative healing methods. The ADLER Med medical competence center has its own team of doctors from disciplines like general medicine, laboratory medicine, aesthetic medicine, modern Mayr medicine, homeopathy, herbal medicine and nutrition. The hotel recently opened an on-property vineyard and winery known as Tenuta Sanoner (Sanoner Estate). Along with ADLER Thermae, the Sanoner family also owns three resorts in Italy's Dolomites mountain region. The Sanoners have been in the hotel business since 1810, when they opened their first small inn, and the four hotels are currently managed by the family's seventh generation.
